Group Travel in Palermo

Planning group travel in Palermo? Looking for activities that bring people together? At A Casa di Amici, groups can discover the city through music, creativity and shared experiences.

During their stay in Palermo, students from Trinity University College took part in a drum circle at our hostel. The activity was facilitated by Santo, in collaboration with La Bottega delle Percussioni. Drums, smiles and collective energy turned the room into a space for rhythm and connection.

What Is a Drum Circle?

A drum circle is a group activity where people create music together using drums and other percussion instruments. No previous musical experience is needed. Everyone can join in, follow the rhythm and contribute to the shared sound.

Beyond music, a drum circle encourages listening, cooperation and spontaneous interaction. Participants discover how individual rhythms can become part of something bigger.

For students and university groups, it is an engaging way to connect outside the classroom. It can also be a fun activity for Erasmus groups, cultural exchanges and international travellers looking to share something different during their stay.

Group Activities at Our Hostel

Group trips are an opportunity to explore a destination together, but also to create memories beyond sightseeing. At A Casa di Amici, our shared spaces provide a welcoming setting for meeting, exchanging ideas and taking part in activities.

Depending on the group and its interests, the stay can include:

  • Sicilian music workshops, discovering traditional percussion and building your own Sicilian tambourine.
  • Creative recycling workshops, transforming everyday objects into musical instruments through creativity and sustainability.
  • Sip & Paint sessions, expressing your creativity on canvas while enjoying a glass of wine on the terrace.
  • Sicilian cooking classes, preparing fresh pasta and traditional recipes while sharing the flavours of local food culture.

After their drum circle, the Trinity University College students continued the experience with a social dinner. The music brought everyone together, and the meal gave them more time to share stories and enjoy each other’s company.
